The 3rd annual DHL Risk & Resilience Conference, taking place on September 21st 2017 at the DHL Innovation Center in Germany, will be welcoming a special guest this year – Alain Robert, the legendary free-climber or “human Spiderman”. Alain is famous in hundreds of countries for having managed to climb 141 of the world’s tallest buildings with his bare hands. He has achieved global success in free-climbing despite a potentially career-ending injury at the age of 19, leaving him 66% disabled. Alain also, shockingly, suffers from vertigo and yet he continues to persevere with his passion.
What does free-climbing have to do with the business world and risk management? Alain’s story serves as inspiration for the conference attendees. It carries a special message for every executive in supply chain, business continuity, security and risk management: Significant business growth requires a proactive approach to risk, integrating the entire value chain from customers, to partners, multi-tier suppliers and service providers.
Under the theme of “Digital Disruption in Risk Management” the conference agenda will be a mix of keynote presentations from leading companies, interactive breakouts on various aspects of risk management, the latest logistics trends and innovations and plenty of networking opportunities.
Alongside Alain and his unique story, a few other exciting speakers will be joining the stage:
